The function of dietary fiber

The function of dietary fiber:

1. Prevent constipation
Dietary fiber can increase the body of feces, stimulate intestinal peristalsis, help defecation, and reduce the time that feces stay in the intestine, so as to shorten the time for the intestinal wall to contact harmful substances in the feces, and change the type and number of intestinal microorganisms, reducing the carcinogen formation.


2. Lower Serum Cholesterol
Dietary fiber combined with bile salts is excreted from the body, increasing the decomposition of cholesterol, thereby reducing the concentration of cholesterol in the blood.

3. Slow down the rate of blood sugar rise
Water-soluble cellulose can delay the rise of blood sugar in diabetic patients.

4. Increase satiety
Foods rich in dietary fiber are low in calories, require longer chewing time, and have strong water absorption, which can increase satiety.
